In my recent artmaking, the goal is to eliminate the object, so that the subject is formlessness.  By starting with digitally drawn lines and colors rather than a physical thing, I can focus on pure light and color.  The results no longer have to mean something.

In my personal meditation practice, the goal is to eliminate the subject through attention to an object.  By returning to the object, we can experience an emptiness detached from meaning

In spirituality, the desire is to merge with and eliminate boundaries.  Through continuous awareness, one experiences bliss.  Thoughts, sensations, projections and emotions disappear so that meaning is no longer separate from itself.
